I had been waiting on these Vass Norwegers to be restocked in my size for over a year. They hit the NMWA website last Tuesday or Wednesday and then hit my doorstep on Friday!

Absolutely gorgeous and oh so comfortable. I keep finding myself looking down at my feet today!

That is really nice. Great way to break up the monotony of standard suit style. I have been on the fence for a similar style from vass for a long time. Would prefer a rounder last and darker shade of brown myself. You have almost convinced me...

PSA: If anyone was holding out hope for the James Grose tan suede Manila jacket in size 40, I just dropped it off for return.

I have been wearing that same SdC jacket this Fall. Still my favorite NMWA purchase.

Solid fit. That SdC Hunting jacket is one of my favorite buys from NMWA. Along with SdC bunny parka

Same as your usual CP size, so size down one

I may be unusual but I find the Geller x CP TTS. I'm a 42 in CP Bball Highs (had to size down) and a 43 in just about everything else, such as the Buttero lows or anything from MMM. For me, TTS was the right size in the Geller x CP boots.

Is shearling jacket far too warm for Bay area (California) winters?

    Wait, you smell that?

In my experience, most cities in the Bay Area other than SF is similar to winter in SoCal, and likely too warm to get decent amount of use for shearling. I think if you're in the City where the temp diff can easily be 10F, then, you can get more use out of it.

The Valstar? From experience a shearling is heavy winter wear, anything above 40°F and you'll sweat on lightest exercise. How I wish I could make use of it...
Cruising in a top down, that's a different story. ;)

Yes, but if you are doing any sort of winter camping, hilking, outdoor activity it can keep you warm. Assuming of course you like patina, as opposed to keeping it pristine.
