Verry nice. Little more on the casual side w/ patch pockets and spalla camicia shoulder. Provides a bit of a sneak preview into how our Project Giacca SC's will turn out. I like. :thumbs-up: What fabric is that?

I am still learning texture combinations. My initial reaction is the tie texture does not work with that suit texture. Am I way off base or does it just come down to personal preference?

Edit: so basically, I like everything but the tie

I think it looks good. A wool tie could have been iffy with the flannel suit, but a knit tie works for me here. I like the three blues approach. Sometimes, simplicity is best.

It can work but it can also look like a mushy wall of the same wooly texture everywhere.

For me, it rolled the dice but still worked well enough to give it a good score on face value and +2 for pushing the limits.

I'm sure you're not alone in thinking less so or even "nah".

ps - and a +.25 bonus for a stock, white pocket square, even squared off.

i was struck by it as well. texturally i think its cool, but idk, it just seems less formal than everything else. then again, its kind of a spreezy look to wear a chunky knit with a suit like that. certainly a look that makes you think.

For me wool tie with a flannel suit is pure win, but ymmv

mostly this.

It can work but it can also look like a mushy wall of the same wooly texture everywhere.

and sometimes this. there are lots of wool ties with different textures out there, its a matter of picking the right one for the jacket at hand, imo.

not quite what i had in mind.

i always wear mine the same way, open or closed, and whether i am going for SWD or MC casual. the top collar down like a suit lapel, and the bottom collar popped. it makes me feel very much like dracula, and i like it!
