would love to see nmwa offer buttero leather laces in the accessory department.
I didn't expect to like my Butteros without their leather laces, but I switched up one of the pairs this morning for an experiment. I may actually like them even better this way:
Those the burgundy?
You can buy them directly from Buttero for $40/set. Or you can buy them from a US based supplier for a lot less. For example: http://www.brettunsvillage.com/leather/laces.htm
I don't have to worry about leather giving up, my leather laces have become very flimsy, didn't even last me a year!
Really? wow, I've been wearing my tanino to death and the laces are still fine. Do you pull really hard on them?
We'll order a whole bunch of laces with the next Buttero order - thanks for bringing this up!
I do not. In fact, I was specifically gentle with these because I could tell the one lace was weak from the start.
My first pair of tanino have been worn a lot more and there is no weakness in the laces at all. But having had plenty of shoes with leather laces before, sometimes you just get a weak lace and it will snap without much effort. I suspected this was fairly well known and that's why you send the pair of cotton laces with each order. Regardless, it isn't a complaint. There is always going to be a possibility of tensile weakness in a leather lace due to the nature of the product.
Switching gears: anyone have any insight into sizing on the Geller lounge pants? I would normally assume a 48 for US 30, but just wanted to put it out there.
I actually like the cotton-laced pic you posted - maybe it's time for me to switch things up for a bit!
