Actually, I tend to leave them out when I can find them on a piece as a courtesy to the next guy; they can be pretty damn hard to find sometimes, if they even exist. Never occurred to me that flippers would care either way.

I tuck them back in, because sometimes they're vulnerable to being torn or frayed the more they're handled/out. This reminded me of an interesting story though:

I was once behind a flipper on a rack of suits - he was after the usual Tommy/Hollister/etc crap so I wasn't concerned. Anyway, long story short... he gets to the suit rack, takes one off the hanger, pulls the label out... and flips the whole jacket inside out to put back on the hanger. Waited a bit... sure enough, he was doing it to every single one.

I couldn't resist, so I asked him 'why are you doing that?" and he said "well I gotta see the label to know if it's something cool, and then I turn them inside out so I know I looked at it for next time!"

He must have been new... I actually felt a bit bad for the employees, and said something along the lines of "that makes a lot of work for them, and they'll just flip them back anyway." He just shrugged and moved along. I admit I didn't have time to go through the whole rack flipping them back (there was nothing worth getting, as usual) but golly, it looked RIDICULOUS.

Found a Banana silk & cashmere sweater for myself today, but that's it. Pickings have definitely slowed down around here, unfortunately. Even been hitting the women's sweaters & coats but still nothing.

Things are pretty bad here.

There's a section of about 20 outfits called "suits and maternity". It's got a couple SCs, a tux from a graduation and some women business suits. Plus the aformentioned maternity wear. There's generally a division of men's and women's stuff, but for some reason not in pants. So I'll be looking around, spot a nice wool pattern, wonder what size it is and find out it's a 12.

I'm a flipper. I enjoy thrift stores as a hobby, I get a chance to wear a lot of the stuff I buy and
make a little extra money for my family. I try to be considerate about it and see the people
clogging up the aisles too. However, to the average person, Polo is as exciting to buy than
Eton or Etro, so it's all good.

I didn't have much time to look around, but I also found a NWOT black leather Ike Behar belt in my size, and a blue pinpoint Sulka shirt with french cuffs that fits me as well (although it is a little baggy, so I'll either eventually pass it on, or wear it only when I know I'll be keeping my jacket on).

It's not all good news though. I was at this same store (which is normally pretty expensive) the Saturday before, and left with 6 pairs of shoes, and paid over $80 for the lot. If I had paid attention, and thought a little, and waited for this sale... well, I won't let it spoil my mood.

I think you're more like us: I also sell nice stuff occiasionally so that I can finance my own purchases. We're talking about the scorched earth flippers who could care less about clothes. They're the kind of guys that have a moral crisis because they're not sure if they should sell that "sweet" Ed Hardy hat they found or keep it for date night with their cousin.

couple of days ago i asked you guys about some Florheim imperials if they were shell,well sadly they werent but today i scored a pair of royal imperials that are.
sadly they are no where near my mutant size 13 foot (they are 8.5 D),so if anybody is interested shoot me a pm.
on a side note,even though the other ones are nice as well i totally see what you guys referred to in terms of quality and construction.

Checked what you sold. I don't believe you qualify as a flipper with your volume. I think there should be a difference between a couture recycler/archeologist and a flipper!

Today I saw a Fallan & Harvey windowpane jacket, that could be from a suit. It has two small moth holes in the left chest area, so I didn't buy it. Should I go back and pick it up?
