I have that exact red barn J.C. coat in Small and love it as my Spring transitional overcoat. It fits over sport coats and sweaters nicely and the corduroy collar looks good flipped or flat. I wear it over denim a lot. Highly recommend someone jump on it. Machine washable! Cool feature is that the upper hand warmer pockets continue down and become the flaps of the lower cargo pockets. No affiliation with dex.

They are A.Testoni soft spike's.




They look older & barely used.

Got a small guitar amp last night for $15.00. I can't remember the name right now. I'll post a pic tomorrow. It'll come in handy for practicing. It has a distortion knob and button on it. Cool as hell.

I tried on the BB chocolate cord SC again last night. I might ask my tailor if she can "let it out" and lengthen the sleeves if noone here wants it right off the bat. Pics don't do it justice.

Hey there thrift experts, when is it possible to un-orphan suit jackets and when is it not. where do you go to get trousers that match a jacket. Is it worth trying? thanks.

dexconstruct has it right - just check the men's and sometimes women's pants racks. Definitely worth trying in the store. Very risky to do across different sources, or over the web, if that's what you're thinking (although we've had some epic coast to coast matches on this thread).

If by "un-orphan" you mean successfully use as a sportcoat, my guidelines are 1) the louder the better, and 2) if it is gray it is almost impossible, mainly because use of a grey SC is so bleeding difficult in the first place. I had one that I loved, but even it was hard to match up.

London fog trench (with removable liner, with sleeves) I scored yesterday. The thing is crazy heavy with liner installed. No belt, appears to be designed that way (no belt holes either). The weather is finally starting to turn to spring here, so it won't see much action this year. Stretched at wearing it today, sans blazer/sport coat/suit coat, just cause I wanted to wear it.

I tell you what, taking pictures of yourself is quite an art, I had no idea. Struggled to get these crappy pics...plus I really need to clear our mirror

I'm curious as to how old they are because it doesn't appear this company makes golf shoes anymore.

Just went to a local thrift shop and found a great black "cord" SC ($5.00). It's in good shape but the sleeves are way too long for me. The shoulders fit perfectly and it fits OK around the middle (might try to tweak it though). If someone actually wore this they must've been rail thin and had super long arms.

It will be awesome after I take it to my tailor and have her shorten the sleeves and then dry clean/press it.

Also found a blue cotton turtleneck which I'll wash tonight and wear tomorrow at work with a tweed jacket ($2.00).

I also got a nice burgundy merino wool v-neck sweater for $4.00. The care tag says to hand wash it in cold water and not to wring it after washing. Then shape and "dry flat".

I'll have to figure this out when I get home. (suggestions welcomed)

The sweater is in good shape and looks beautiful. I'll try to get pics this weekend.

BTW there were several more nice thick wool sweaters there but I really wanted to try out a turtleneck...
