Baller Christmas outfit.....On a side note, seems like everyone always apoligizes for their "crappy" cell phone pics, yours are great (does the lens retract when you put it back in your pocket?)
So apologies to my Secret Santa, but the ties/pants don't really go with what I was thinking for this weekend.

Holiday thrift pics below. Be gentle. (The sleeves on the jackets are fine, but not what they should be due to time constraints/laziness).

In-laws' big deal Christmas party
Blackwatch: House brand, Etsy
Santa/Jesus Tie: Jack Spade, Marshalls
Pants: ..... jcrew, Ebay
Shoes: ?, thrifted

Sunday night is a bit more laid back....

Shirt: same
SC: BR cord, thrifted
Pants: Corbin, thrifted
Shoes: same

Haha! Ridiculous. What did you end up doing with that? I wonder what the buttons appraised for.

Ended up harvesting the buttons, sold for gold value, was about $540. Picked up a moth eaten SC with nice horn buttons for a $1 and put them on the Oxxford. My tailor said the SC was Shetland wool and was close to a $2000 SC when new.

yea when i was selling alot of stuff on ebay i was suprised how little Paul Stuart stuff goes for.

Suits do very well. Most of the rest does not. Then again, Spoo sold a Borrelli shirt for $20 one time. So maybe shirts aren't the best measure.
I think the suits have a pretty devout following, which is why they do well.

Thats insane! Never heard of 14K buttons. I am not sure I would have even noticed, but from now on I am going to look for shining buttons when going down the aisles.

Day of firsts for me today...went to my standard lunch SA and spotted a bunch of shirts but not enough time to try on so went back after work and went at it. Turns out a gentleman had dropped off a solid bag of stuff from his closet.

Finally found some decent shirts in my size that have a slim silhouette and don't need a nip/tuck at the tailor. Picked up my first Zenga and Canali (x3) shirts.

Figured since the guy dropped off some quality shirts, he may have had more in the bag. Took a look at the pants (which i never do) and found my first Incotex (chinolino)! Need a hem but in my size so all good. Sifted through the ties and found my first Lanvin and my first Napoli anything...7 fold Partenopea
Gotta give me respect to everyone hear because I would never have thought of picking up Incotex or Napoli ties a month ago simply because I wouldn't have recognized or appreciated what I was looking at. Thanks.

My other first is implementing my newly adopted philosophy of walking away and not buying anything that doesn't fit perfectly (thrift deals aren't that thrifty after a trip to the tailor).
In case proxy questions come up, I have to say that I'm in Canada so shipping to the US is stupid expensive (think minimum $25-30 for ANY package) and not worth it IMO.

That being said, left a handful of other shirts that were in my size (16) but an 1-1.5 inches too wide in the shoulder or too big around the neck (16.5). Zegna, Zegna Sport, Ascot Chang (first), Canali, Linen Florence brand.

3 Pink's tht were a 1/2 size too big and 2 inches long in the sleeve. Hurt to walk away but knowing I don't have to bring em to the tailor is worth it.

Used to be into *** denim (2 pairs of Samurai's) and learned a bit about Evisu denim but know nothing about their jackets...worth picking up for the flip (cost $30)? Evisu groupies are die hards but a very small following so...

Here is that label again. I have a feeler out to Spalding inquiring about the age of the label. Not sure I will get a response. I still come up with about 1920s.

This thing is crazy. Heavier than my regular winter jacket (which is quite light actually)

TAKEN

Looks pretty good, especially when you set it next to this one...

Any of you San Francisco guys go to the Sunset Goodwill. If so, tell me those sweet antiqued shoes weren't Lobbs. (or Lattazani).

Should do quite well. Wishing I had the extra $ to send your way. Been looking for a shawl collar and color is great!

Don't balk on the size. Big guys scoop large sized Levi's up. You just have to take some time to find the right buyer. Size 44 waist and larger is prime flip, especially pre-owned. Just gotta go about it the right way.
