^^ That would be much too large since I can take even a sz34R in a more generously cut model (drop 6). Osakas are drop 8 with narrower shoulders aren't they? So that's why I think I might fit in to sz38.

Is there a Herringbone store near you, blahman? Obviously, best bet is to be able to try on everything but that's not always possible. In my own experience, some Osaka jackets fit slimmer than others, or some bigger than they should. Whichever stance you take on that, the end result is essentially the same. It's not ideal, but it's why some Osaka 40s fit me very well, and in others I'm taking in a 42 to get it to fit me. As for trousers, there is sufficient fabric to let out a 34 to like a 35.5 and take in to fit like a 33, any more than that and the rear pockets look too close. In any case, I'll send you full measurements of the 40 that I have a little later today.

Sorry that was in response to theBrownman...

My girlfriend uses this mail forwarding service from the US called "Carrie My Shopping". It's a one-woman business run by an Aussie living over there.

What is the usual delivery time in your experience?

I'll check with my girlfriend and let you know, jessies. This is Carrie's services and fees page from her site. Hopefully it helps somewhat.

By the way, have you guys heard that Harrold's is now stocking Thom Browne. Not that anyone could possibly afford it - I got this in my email today

The mailman came for me today with a pair of Alden's Leather Soul Exclusive Color 8 Cordovan Shortwing as requested by members of Style Forum. I'll post some pics up on my blog when I get a chance. Did anyone else in Australia order these?

DJ's is having sale, with polo shirts reduced. Any recommendations for a slim fit polo shirt with a traditional polo weave? (as opposed to a collared T-shirt). I bought a Sportscraft one last year and its worn well but the 'L' is a bit too large and if I go down to 'M' it will be too short.

The Witchery stuff I bought last summer was rubbish.

Someone had some RLPL polo's for sale that you might be interested in.

I second joboro with Polo Ralph Lauren. If you're based in Melbourne, head to the Essendon DFO and buy polos there. You can get a reasonable assortment of colours and at times, they go on sale for $34.95. Otherwise, I'd get Lacoste. I'm not surprised you've had bad experiences with Witchery stuff. I've found the one item I've bought there to be of rubbish quality as well.

My Dad gave me the same advice… was thinking of giving it a go on my brogue boots…
