Looks fantastic with the hints of red in your pants. I am on Day 3 of The Method with my own #4's.

Thanks! Enjoy yours.

Beautiful.  Where'd you purchase them from?

Thank you. They came from The Shoe Mart. According to folks in this thread, TSM offered a pre-order of this model but cancelled when Alden was unable to fulfill the entire pre-order. TSM then made the pairs it received available for general sale. So, unfortunately, it's not clear when or if TSM will offer them again. :(

Color 4 Wingtips, both in inside and outside light (though a cloudy day). Sorry the outside shot is a bit blurry.

The BB PTBs are on the m58 last which is sleeker than the barrie and does not have the 360 welt.  It's a more refined, dressier looking PTB than the 990s.  I still love my 990 and 9901.

I think you mean the BB version doesn't have the 360 degree storm welt.

I have them in Black and like them a lot:

I think RTP meant they don't have a storm welt. The BB version has a flat 360 degree welt as you pointed out.
Pardon me. Thanks PapaD, that is what I meant. The flat welt gives it a sleeker/dressier look than the storm welt which you would find on the 990s and 975s.

Alden newbie! My first pair of Aldens arrived from Shoe Mart today. Shoe Mart was great to deal with + I am now on their mailing list for cosmetic blems.

I was all set to get in on the Kudu w/modified last MTO but ended up really needing a more aggressive sole.

The first word that came to mind when I unboxed the boots was "substantial". The fit is great out of the box, but I am still interested in ordering a pair of boots on the modified last. Natural PTB's are next I think.

One question for you all: I was kind of expecting to have a nice pair of the white cloth bags I see in a lot of photos in this thread. Do Indy's come in plastic bags? (see picture).

Last, sorry for the bad iPhone pics.

Thanks for the info!

Is the M58 a narrower last? I think I'd have to try it on to know for sure how my foot would fit.
