Nice boots.

I think this is my favorite non-shell Indy.

I haven't worn the Aberdeen last before, so they will be a bit of an expirment.

I was reluctant to pull the trigger as I have already bought 2 pair on ebay this month, snuff suede LHS and #8 plaza monks.

However, as many on here have said....buy now and think about it later!

Joe said they were "beautiful" with the lighter welt and no visible blemishes....we shall see in a few days.

The Aberdeen and Snap are probably my favorite Alden lasts for shoes.

Got a call from him today as well, no new stock
I was told their ravello nst shoe is on Aberdeen.
They didn't have cigar nst in my size, so i didn't get details.
I have tried on Aberdeen cigar shoes at alden sf in the past. So they are/ used to be out there.

I spoke with Joe at Shoemart this morning who confirmed that none of the exotic cordovan shoes they got in are smaller than size 10.  Us club-footed folk are out of luck this time.  Congrats to those with big dogs.  May they bark in grand style.  And at a discount too!

Going to hold out hope that a run of exotics on the opposite end of the size spectrum follows. Though my wallet prefers that things stand.

Speaking of sizes - I wonder how a foot of this shoes' owner would look like! (I don't know the seller): http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALDEN-Black-Calf-Leather-Split-Toe-Lace-Up-Oxford-mens-size-85EEEEEE-/321232845973

I have looked for EE, but as mentioned before, they don't stock it - you can do a special order with Alden NY for an EE, though.

100 yrs, is right. I just got a reply from Alden NY and they said that Leydon is not made wider than E. It's a shame as the last is so narrow to begin with. The Frans Boone make up looks good, but it's not the same in my opinion.

I've since stumbled upon the Alden City-Moc at Leffot, coincidentally in natural Chromexcel, and am thinking it might be the one. But, I can't seem to find any real life pics of city-moc model in general, let alone the Leffot cxl specifically.

If you've got some real-world city-moc model pics, I'd love to see them!

(edit: in case you thought it a weird question for late October, I should note that I'm in central Florida where styles like this are virtually year round)

Alden City-Moc at Leffot:

When I first saw the natural CXL "City-Moc" on the Leffot site I was really interested in it. I have similar moc-toe makeups in color #8 and snuff suede on the Van last that I wear a lot and thought about adding the cxl version to my collection. However, I think the thing I like about the other two pair that I have is that they are on the flex-sole and were extremely comfortable right out of the box and required zero break in period. In the end, I ended up putting together something similar from Rancourt, while selecting a more comfortable sole, and getting that instead (I'm also beginning to be put off by the prices for non-shell offerings from Alden, but that's a different story).

However, if you do like the City-Moc from Leffot or something similar from Rancourt, I find that they work great with chinos, cords, and denim in just about any situation. I've even worn mine with flannel dress trousers a couple of times. It's really a pretty versatile design.

My CXL Rancourt version (spoiler tags added to appease the Alden gods):
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Does anyone know where I can find a pair of Alden boots in natural chromexcel with a commando sole? I'd be open to either the wingtip/brogue variety, or the traditional indy. I've checked the usual players (leffot, epaulet, leather soul) and have come up empty...but I'd have to imagine there are places that I've forgotten.

Looking for size 8.5 in Trubalance/Barrie.
