I finally broke down and drank the Kool-Aid and bought a pair of Indy's in the Chromexcel and have to say I'm really impressed with how comfortable they are right off the bat.

I've got a pair of the LL Bean Katahdin Iron Works Boots that I really like, but have a feeling they might end up collecting a lot of dust from going forward.

Thought long and hard about selling this but at the end, my foot is too wide to fit into the Aberdeen last.
Boots have been sitting mostly in the closet.

Customized in 2010 by Al's Attire (North Beach, SF)

Ravello NST Boots with Cat's Paw - 9D

Will post more pics in the Men's Clothing Classified within the next day or so.

Here are some teaser pics when I got them resoled:

As always, please PM me with any questions.

Thanks!

I just received some Alden Tassels that I had bought on eBay a week or so ago ($60 :D)

I was unsure of much information about the actual shoe and exactly how old it is. I figured this would be the right place to come with pictures for a diagnosis.

Shoes:

Left Insole:

Right Insole:

Sorry for the terrible pictures, got the best I could with my phone.

Any thoughts?

Edit: Not sure if this would help as well:

560 is the alden tassel in walnut brown. also the number after the A-would allow you to check with alden to ascertain the year the shoe was made

The Bean's are good boots for the money, but I didn't find them that comfy.

I have the "kinda" boot you are referring to. Its the Kudu wingtip boot on the "police" sole, right? If so, i would recommend it. The combination of the rugged sole, stylish wingtip, and hearty kudu leather makes for a unique combination.
