That's just an effect of the way I'm standing in that photo, and the laces weren't very tight... funny you noticed this, because I had to tie my left shoe tighter about 10 min after taking this photo

Yeah, just not a fan of that look with jeans, where the whole shoe is showing and every step I take there's sock showing. I like this look more, so will stick with it.

My wool trousers have less break obviously, and I think that look is certainly preferred for an office setting.

It's kind of annoying that you can't get to the "more from this seller" link until you click on an actual listing.

They need to put that link at the bottom of the signature before you click on any listing. Annoying, but thanks for the reminder.

What about the edge pattern in that area? I think that's what he's referring to.

For what its worth, I think these are some of the ugliest Alden boots I've ever seen. I can't imagine when you would want to wear white work boots. Just an opinion.

What do you guys use for care on Indy boots? I just picked up my first pair of 405's and I love 'em. I'm a total n00b when it comes to shoecare though. Any particular methods or products I should adhere to to keep these looking sharp?

they are definitely different - for sure, they are not my taste, but I'm sure that some people with more fashion sense than me could make them work

I clean mine with saphir leather cleaning soap, then coat in montana pitch blend leather dressing let dry and then brush with a horsehair brush.

When they are dirty I wipe them down with a damp rag, dry them then use Venetian shoe cream. Then buff the heck out of them. I love the Venetian - and it is made in the US which is important to me.
