TB is just larger in all respects. The heel, forefoot, everything. Def made for boot socks. I have boots with barrie and TB, the barrie I can wear with lighter socks, no problem, the TB need boot socks, both same size. The Alden rep I spoke to mentioned that the TB in particular, but also the barrie are purposely made to accommodate heavier socks that most folks like to wear with boots. That said, although he mentioned to try them both in TTS, I'd go down a half with TB, maybe not with barrie. As always, try them on if at all possible with the socks intended.

I would take what the reps say with a grain of salt.
many of the experts I've seen have disseminated some pretty ridiculous information.

those are definitely shell.

yah i'd 2nd that.The small 'stain' in the 2nd pic is a tell tale sign. All of my shell has a birth mark like that
