Finally got a chance to wear my new #8 NST boots from Context around the house this evening. These were the first pair of shoes (or any clothing item for that matter) that I ever pre-ordered and I am more than happy with the result. Is it sad that I'm looking forward to going to work tomorrow specifically so I have somewhere to wear these to?

enjoy wearing! consider the break in method

finally i got the alden hunting boots, ravello, barrie last
the interesting thing is this barrie last fit more snug than my LWB, even in same size
now i am using mac's break in method, hopefully i could wear them in this weekend

Indy boot sizing question guys...

I tried on an 11d in white athletic socks, and the tip of my big toe hit pretty much right at the apron stitch on the vamp, if not a smidge over. This feels slightly long to me, who is accustomed to snug bluchers, but I'm curious to hear your thoughts. I also laced them fairly tight as I like that clean look, and this probably pushed my foot back a little.

Thus far, the most natural fit to me has been 11D in the van last on my LHS, which is snug enough for a loafer but my toes don't pinch at all.

thoughts?

ps....killer brixton boot and context tanks. number 8 is just the best.

I think the whiskey tanker from Leffot is not barrie as it's a lot more narrow than the PTB #8 that I bought from Blackbird. I ordered the same size as my usual size with barrie/trubalance last. Luckily, it still fits me perfectly.

So did I, but in washed tan.

Currently have 4 Chukkas in various shades of Brown, including the snuff suede chukka. looking for a black one and thinking LS black flex chukka might be the best call.
