GAHHH I've seen so many responses that say TTS and a few that say don't. So damn confusing. EDIT: The guy measured the insole to just under 11" and my feet are 10 3/4" sooo I think they might be TTS.

1. Low on cash
2. Not sure

That's an easy pass for me. The only way I would buy it: I can return it for a refund if it doesn't fit and money being low is not an issue.

Need some help please. I'm looking for a chocolate brown suede oxford just like this one http://www.alden-of-carmel.com/index...Oxford_270.htm I checked with Blackbird and this is a shoe from last summer. Has anyone seen this shoe ( or one very similar) in any of the Alden stores you've been in? Really want the dark brown suede. I've found a couple of places that have, or will have this exact style in tan. Thanks

What color edge dressing should I use for #8 Longwings (or should I use it at all)? I've got two pairs on my desk after I went with the wrong size the first time around. I need to drop them on yahoo auctions but unfortunately I tried to tough it out for a few weeks and the edges are a little scuffed.
-and also for the pair I'm keeping since I tend to drag my toes.

Depends on the edge color. If they are the antique edge trim then use something clear, if black, then use black.
Why not try to sell them on the B&S forum here?

2 questions for the Alden cognoscenti:
worship.gif

1. For Reverse Chamois, does Montana Pitch Blend Leather Dressing work the same as Leather Oil?
2. Is there a Reverse Chamois boot available on a narrow last, like Plaza? The Barrie just seems to voluminous.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I can't tell if #8's are black or just really dark brown. Didn't want to accidentally go with black dressing and then find out its darker than the rest. They're the standard #8 longwings

I may try if I cant sell them on Yahoo auctions but shipping costs to the US or wherever on used $600 shoes vs. selling locally in Tokyo where they retail for ~$1200... Many thanks though!

Oh, didn't realize you were in Tokyo.
Anyway, Alden has used different edges on their shoes. Guess you need to decide if it is black or dark brown. My guess is that it's black.

I am not sure but whoever sells them to you should be able to tell you how best to maintain them. As for the Plaza VS Barrie I think you should try the lasts on in person. For the boot you mentioned I am not sure if there would be a benefit from the plaza.
