just wondering how much space should you have from the tip of your big toe to the tip of the shoe?

i'm hearing all sorts of different things one shoe salesman said it should be a tight fit from the start another one said i should have a certain amount of space to accommodate my feet because the change slightly changes after being on them all day.

what i'm saying is one shoe sales guy is suggesting to me i should have a tight fit from the start.

it's not an exact science, but generally you should go with which ever size you feel is most comfortable when you try them on, and it is important that they fit you at the arch of your foot. My Aldens usually have about 1/2" between the end of my toes and the end of the space inside, but that is just me. Don't always go by what the salesman says, there has been plenty of stories about people getting the wrong size at the advice of salesman and then getting stuck with ill-fitting $500 shoes. If the shoes feel too tight at the beginning, they will not be comfortable for a long time, if ever.

Just as a heads up I am shipping back a pair of the black Indy boots in black in size 7.5 to Shoe Mart.
Decided that since I already have the Butteros I might as well pick up a pair of the shell cordovan longwings instead.

TIA

There is 10% off for phone or in store purchases right now. Call them and ask. I know it was on last week.

Very nice. Thank you. I like the PTB in Natural Chromexcel very much and the PTB in Brown Chromexcel but do not like the steel eyelets.

The boots are nice as well.

I would love to see a Natural Chromexcel longwing and could go against my normal love of the Barrie last and go for a Plaza with this.
