Moreover, it's rather BigTimer to be borrowing one of Elbaz's bows.

Seriously though: I like the details (as much as we can see them), and the disconsolate look on your good friend's fall from grace seems spot on, but there is something about where that thing buttons, the length of the jacket, and the skirt that looks unconvincing.

I suspect classic whnay. bad photograph taking to be much of the culprit, but not entirely.

Nice work--I'm very much enjoying the lapels. They aren't shy about those peaks are they? I think they suit your frame quite well.

Are those shirt-sleeve shoulders? If so, welcome to the F.U. dinner jacket club. The ensemble stumbles only insofar as you haven't adopted Manton's Philip II guideline.

They are shirt-sleeve...shoes are EG Carnegie's > Philip II

Nice. I had to fight with Mariano to have them do shirt sleeves and a shawl lapel. Did you face any resistance? Sometimes I think his preferences float with the winds.

I like the EGs, but a trusted wise man once told me that Philip IIs would work.

I didn't ask for it but as I've mentioned before I really don't care either way. I think Philip II works, I just think the EGs are better looking.

I wasn't serious about the Philip IIs--I wore them because I was too lazy and cheap to get proper shoes or slippers. Your EGs are a league better in this context. I probably should have just gone out and grabbed a pair of Belgians, but I felt bad enough about spending so much on the dinner suit at the time. Interesting about the shirt sleeves. Maybe he simply felt I would look better with open seam shoulders.
