Realistically, no one can tell you how much they will stretch as no one has your body or wears denim at the same point on the waist. I can tell you that if you push it, it is relatively easy to squeeze an inch out of any waist. No matter what size you buy, if your body shape or habits stretch denim, you can get 2-3" out of a waistband.
The sizing advice to buy 1" less than your true waist is partially a safety measure when ordering denim online as jeans can have a +/- 0.5" variability. You can fix a pair that is too small but a pair too big is a loss. If you put a pair on and it fits great, then it fits great. I'd prob buy.
thanks, think ill get them then. just hope they dont end up too loose in a couple of months, as its not easy to find them over here.
