Fit will be relative to the person. Quality? Well, they probably won't fall apart the first time you put them on. Are they worth that price point? Hell no. Will they fade like stuff you see in the Photos of Denim thread? Probably not. Would I spend a few more bucks or look around for a better deal on a better jean? Yes.

agree - wouldn't spend $200+ on these, but found them on sale for $120. just out of curiosity, why do you doubt their fading potential so much? they are japanese selvage denim . . .

Anyone have any experience with the KMW 2010 raw and 5EP LDB raw? How much will they stretch in the waist? Thanks.

Not trying to make fun of you but do you spend much time reading this thread or forum in general? Let me put it to you this way: what's the difference between Carlo Rossi and a bottle of wine from Napa if they're both made in California?

um, did you not read the title of this thread - "recs for beginners"? i get that this might not be the most premium denim out there, but i'm not up to spending that kind of premium money. i just wanted to know how these would compare to relatively comp priced (and cheaper) jeans - nudie, apc, good society, etc.

have you ever seen these jeans in person?

Ah, now we want to get sarcastic? Ok. Gee, who fucking created this thread? You might want to look up that fun fact. Just because Stussy says that the jeans are "selvage from Japan" doesn't tell you jack shit about the quality. All it's telling you is that they're 1) jeans, 2) selvage, and 3) from Japan. At $120, you can get a SHITLOAD better in terms of quality. Hell, if you looked at the SW&D forum right now you'd see that Farinelli's having a half-off sale. $250 jeans for $125 that are going to be leaps and bounds better than anything Stussy will come out with. Stussy will probably compare to low-end Nudie but more like Good Society (although GS is cheaper). I'm not sure what you expect from a company that simply does not know denim. It's like buying a pair of shell cordovan shoes from Denny's and wondering how they'll compare to Vass. I simply don't see the point in paying as much for these jeans when this forum has so many affiliates that offer far better alternatives for the same price if not cheaper.

whats the deal with levis 501 shrink to fit?

saw some at macys. are they raw? i just shrink like unsanforized denim then wear without washing? will i get fades?

im starting a job next week...its a house job i'm doing with my dad (carpenters), and i want to work in some raw denim to see what kind of ridiculous fades i get. obviously i'm not doing it in $150+ jeans, lol.

^ Correct. And size up 1 in the waist, 2 in the inseam.

Are PBJ-005s just as nut-constricting as Skull 5010s? If I'm a 28 in Skulls, should I go 28 in PBJs?

So right now I can buy KMW rockers for only a bit more than APC NC's. It sounds like KMW's are really nice, but I'd have to order them online, whereas I can actually go to a local store and buy the New Cures. How will the KMW's be noticeably different than the NC's? Would they last longer, have nicer fades, or anything of that sort?

Also, if I wear 511's in 31, should I probably get the KMW's in 29? (farinelli's lists the waist on the 29's as 15")

Thanks much,
wmmk

How is the fit, Yeah or nay?

AG Raw...should I soak them in warm water before wearing? I got some indigo dye on my hands today just by handling them.

TIA

wmmk- KMW will be a bit harder to break in but I guarantee you that you will NOT regret getting them over APC. Just make sure that the fit is what you want. If 511's are true 31's, I'd stick to 30's in KMW as the general opinion is that they don't stretch that much. Shanghai- Fix the hems. Please fix the hems.

I'm seeking sizing advice for Flat Head SE05BSP - Slim Tapered. I wear size 29 APC NS and although tight I could easily button all of the buttons. Crotch to heel/floor is around 35.5-36 - What inseam length should I have them chain stitch to so I end up with just a little stacking? APC NS fit: Thanks
