anyone, who is a true 40L, that wears Canali? Do you wear a 42L in Canali without any problems, aside from some minor alterations? Looking to pull the trigger on a natural/being colored 42L Canali with 35W paints. Shoulders fit fine, the waist could be taken in a bit....

I would say that the 52 euro Canali is more like a 41 Long US in most models. I have one 52 size that is a pretty decent fit once the sides are taken in, but this suit is older. The 50 size makes for a pretty trim size 40 so try one of those out if possible and see if the chest and sides are better while not too narrow in the shoulders. I would probably go for a 50L myself if I was interested in getting more Canali.

thanks. Yes I bought a 40L Canali after Xmas and it is trim, the jacket in the waist, but it is fits good everywhere else, so probably this Canali suit i'm looking at would only need the waist of the jacket taken in, the pants would need to be slimmed up in the seat and thigh as well but it's such a sweet suit, it's worth it I suppose. ($599 at a outlet).

I am a 42L and I wear same in Canali. My experience with the label is that it runs true to size.

I am a 40 L and the one in the link below (for sale) seem to fit me just fine. I would say that Canali runs true to it size. Its me in the picture so you can be the judge...
