Heh, I was just admiring the clothes on Leave It to Beaver yesterday. I was thinking how nice the skinny belts looked.

In 2001, I hung out with a Jason and Kameelah from Real World Boston and Yes Duffy from one of the road rules. I figured we'd go out, hit some dive bar and just have a chill night.
I had no idea how "famous" these people were amongst people my age - college at the time (I've was a real bookworm/outdoorsy guy, so kind of clueless about this type of thing). We went to some huge club in Orlando with a line around the building, cut in front of the line as VIPs (the bouncer looked at my jeans and flip-flops and sneered, "I can't believe this ****") and had people coming up to us all night.

They were all pretty cool and made a lot of "better enjoy this while it lasts" type of jokes.

Nehemiah Clark from The Real World Austin was a fellow caller at the call center where I was working earlier this year. I didn't know who he was until someone told me, but it was interesting how the younger callers reacted to him. I also heard some good stories about the VIP treatment he got in the clubs. He quit after a few months to get in shape for an upcoming edition of the Road Rules/Real World Challenge shows.

Ricky Ricardo pulls off the sportscoat, slacks and polo shirt look like no one I've ever seen.

I don't indulge so much anymore since I'm busy, but over the last few years I've went through small bouts of watching each of these shows:

-MTV's The Real World - why isn't my life at all like this?
confused.gif

-Maury Povich - I love how the stage hands coax every guest into acting like a moron and continually screaming at the audience and camera. I know a guy who went on the show to get a paternity test. Him and the girl both knew that he was the baby's daddy... they just wanted a free trip to new york.

-A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila - I watched one episode, and I could actually feel my IQ decreasing... but I stuck it out

i am with you on the real world and the maury povich show. they are both complete time-wasters but can be very entertaining. here is a hilarious 30 second clip from the maury show.
