Had to shoot the fodder and the good stuff, here are the pictures of the Kiton and the Zegnas. More pics of them tomorrow, and big group shots of the fodder. I've spent so much ******* money in the last few days.

Ermenegildo Zegna Trofeo Blue Houndstooth with a subtle windowpane, no size tag but it measures like the others (52L)

Amazing E Zegna 'Shetlair' Wool/Mohair/Cashmere Blend. Huge fan of the purple windowpane on this one (52L).

Totally unstructured Z Zegna Angora/Wool/Cashgora (52L)

E Zegna Trofeo Comfort totally unlined wool suit. Triple Patch Pocket goodness. (54L drop 7)

And the main event, Kiton Blanc Blu Super180s/14 Micron Black Suit. There is one tiny flaw on the back, but considering this suit cost me less than half of what any of those Zegnas up there did, I'm not complaining. (56S Drop 7)

Updating on my possible thriftcation planning:

It seems Indianapolis and Cincinnati are locked down by members with shotguns by their lawns. Chicago and Las Vegas are still on the top of my list, Cleveland and Pittsburgh are also possibilities. I am itching to find some Kiton and Loro Piana cashmere sweater. Last time I found a Loro Piana cashmere sweater was in Hawaii, of all places. Even if I don't find grail, any of these places I can find some NICE suits (Canali or better)?

I would think that people in Chicago wear suits, and so do people in Cleveland and Pittsburgh? For Vegas, maybe people like to blow the gambling winning on some nice clothes? I have no idea.

I think the general concenus is Vegas is full of tourists with the same logic you're using. What little there is is usually snatched quickly.

The vast majority of people gambling in Vegas are visitors. If they win big and buy something at the Forum or Grand Canal shops, it's going home with them.

I didn't mean to come across as hostile about Cincinnati. My point was, if you are looking for the likes of Loro and Kiton, they are rarer than rare here. If you want to find Brooks Brothers suits, 15+ year old Oxxford, and the occasional Canali orphan, come on down. We've got a great restaurant scene and plenty to do. Just no Kiton to be found.

The books are closed!

I think I was able to get everyone in that expressed interest, including those that sent me a PM overnight. You'll find three lists below. List #1 is a short list of partial email addresses that I couldn't cross reference from the donation list. If you recognize your address below, please let me know your user name so I can mark you off the list.

List #2 is a list of those from whom I need an address. Finally, list #3 is a list of those that need to send me a $5 donation for the Ronald McDonald House.

I apologize if you're on a list that you shouldn't be...let me know so I can correct it. If you haven't donated nor given me your address AND have fewer than a couple of hundred posts, I'll have to drop you from our list.

This year, we have 69 people involved in our exchange! These people represent 6 countries and 23 US states! It's exciting to have so many people involved! That being said, with so many people the odds increase that a package could be lost or someone flakes. Hopefully we'll make it through this without that, but if you haven't received your gift by 1 January 2016, please let me know!

You'll receive your "partner" (does anyone have a better word for this? It's not a partner really, it's the person for whom you're buying. Secret Santa works, but it tends to have a religious connotation.) in the next 24 hours. I'll be sending out 50% of the list, Capnwes will be sending the other half. All addresses will be copy/pasted from the person the author's message, so please let Wes or me know if you have questions about it.

Been thrifting/consignment hunting here since 2003 and can echo what Dan says. First off we really don't have the stores that sell the super high end stuff. If you do find a Brioni and such it wasn't bought here. Also Cincinnati is a for lack of a better term cheap. Even the people who make big bucks will get their suits at Jos A Banks. The one nice men's clothing store downtown you can get Oxxford but only MTM.

If you want to hit the Nati I'm sure Dan and I would be glad to do a meet up. We've got a great microbrewery scene here.

No ring around the collar!
