Today was disgusting.

90 degree weather + major disruptions to get to work because of UN + 15 min wait on a 120-degree train platform = me drenched in sweat at 9am when arriving in the office

I don't want cold, I just want crisp.

Cold I remember from growing up in MN. That was enough.

Just some light sweater weather, please.

Forecast says we drop 10-15 degrees after tomorrow's rains....it's still not enough.

Yeah, seriously. We are being robbed of the best time of year, clothingwise. Early fall lets you still wear whatever you want, but requires layering, so you get to do all kinds of cool stuff. Also, fall colors are the best, I don't care what anyone says. Once you are in the thick of the cold, you don't give a **** about how well-cut your parka is, you just want it to be over.

Same. I don't like cold and i hate snow and slush, but crisp fall weather is awesome.

Exactly. I have a covert coat that's too light for winter. This is my window to wear it, and I'm being robbed of the opportunity.

Of course, if this keeps up, I may be wearing it in January.

This is pretty standard for the SF Bay Area. Late September and early October are our warm periods. I like it because you get a warmish evening while still getting early darkness. It makes for nice after dinner walks.

May I add the only positive to this weather...the short skirts and dresses are still abundant! Besides that, I despise 80+ degrees in September.

A friend of mine here says that global warming is the best thing the leftists ever came up with. I know I can't complain about 13* C in the middle of winter.

Yeah, +1 on the No Cold, Yes Cool party. The clothes are better, and for those of us poor unfortunate wayfarers forced to brave the MBTA on a daily basis, cool weather is the only time it isn't hellishly hot or frigidly cold. It's the irony of the T that whenever it gets above 75, they AC-it to about 52 degrees and everybody freezes in their sweat-covered clothes. Whereas when it gets below 50, they blast the heat up to 85, so you get a sauna effect and step out drenched into the winter winds. Unfortunately I sweat a fair amount despite being thin and in good shape, so I have to really work not to ruin my clothes. Also, I dislike it when the weather is out of sync with my mood. That sounds effeminate, yeah, but basically when I'm in a focused, working, school mode I don't want the kind of days that imply nothing more than caipirinhas, sitting by the water and idling away your days. I want crisp, beautiful new England falls that keep you moving and are tempered with the melancholy of fading leaves.

Ditto. I love autumn. Cold enough so that I can dress nicely without sweating.

Today it was around 87 in Hartford when I drove into work. Last night it was around 97 when I drove home.

Today's much better but still not cool enough. I think this is pay back time for the 60s degree days we had back in August.

I think autumn is the best time of the year. The crisp air is refreshing, the colorful canvas of nature is beautiful, and the wardrobe is the best.

My problem is that EVERY hobby/pastime that I partake in (in the rare event I'm not at school or work) involves being outside, when drenching in the sun is the best.

I'm going to miss this summer....
