How long do you find that lasts on your skin? I really want to like it but I can't seem to get more then 2-3 hours out of it. Have you tried Avignon? Which do you prefer?
It lasts all day on me. I'm familiar with all 5 of the series and Kyoto is my favorite. I also like Jaisalmer. Avignon is fine but I never had a desire to wear it. All 5 are great as candles too.

Today I'm wearing Encens et Lavande. Don't wear this often because my decant is running low, but it's so so good. Easily my favorite lavender - I love the way the smokey incense backbone blends with the lavender. It lasts all day on me, though I know longevity has been an issue for some. I really want a whole bottle of this. Maybe someday I'll roll into the Paris store and walk out with bell jars of this, Sarrasins and a few others.

Never even heard of this one before now. Anything you could compare it to? Where'd you snag a decant? TPC?

I've been tempted to try that for a while now. =(

I think the main difference in the packaging is "Concentree" marked on the bottle and box. I think (but could be wrong on this) that the original PM comes in a bottle with a square cross-section, while the concentree is wider and not as deep. Anyway, I think only the Concentree is available now.

...

Today...Caron Pour Une Homme, something reassuring for a stressful day ahead.

I don't remember actually. I think ebay before the decant crackdown.

It's better I not have the temptation...the herd has grown considerably this year, and I'd like to actually finish a bottle of somthing, someday...before plunging into Lutens.

Today, I decided to wear something I'd not worn in a while, so...Terre d'Hermes.

I almost wore Terre d'Hermes myself, but went with Guerlain Vetiver instead. Vintage edc splash.

I wish I could find a bottle of the vintage Guerlain Vetiver. I've seen a few on Basenotes but people are asking upwards of $100 for them. I just got in on a split of LeLabo Rose 31 and found decants for Jasmine 17, Oud 21, and Vetiver 24 (or some ****. I can never keep their numbers straight). Been working on the Jasmine the past two days. Interesting smell, the jasmine is not really the main scent. Its very much in the background and it gives off a sort of fresh, woodsy smell with jasmine to top it off. Nice but it might be a bit too soft for me.

I have two bottles - one edt, one edc - both from ebay. They're always on there and not terrbly expensive.

Today: Jardin Apres La Mousson

Yesterday: I had to wake up early to attend a meeting about an issue that did not merit a meeting. I expressed my displeasure by wearing Kouros. If I am required to attend a similar meeting in the near future, you can better believe I'll be wearing Secretions Magnifiques. That will teach them a lesson for sure.

Jaime at eurofinegifts.com has them (I think). I have a bottle of the vintage as well but hardly ever think to wear it.

Interesting. What do you find to be the difference between the two? Which one do you prefer?

EdT or EdC? How do you like it? Today was LeLabo Rose 31. Chicks seem to dig this on me for some reason. Its not a complimentary "you smell delicious" sort of thing. Its more like, "you smell interesting, what is that".

there's a shop in San Francisco, Beverly Hills perfumery on Wiltshire right at Rodeo... I dropped by last time I was there and they've got a decent amount of vintage stuff, including some Guerlain Vetiver. beyond that I don't know (ie price, age, etc)

Rambo, I'll check, but I suspect it's the EdC, and it's plenty potent. It's good, but not quite light enough for daily summer use around here.

Speaking of, today - Guerlain Vetiver, recent production. I seem to be the only one who likes it in my family. =(
