Ok here's the deal. Just got this car. Just had the cam belt replaced. Im in New Zealand. Its a 1990 Honda Accord Inspire. So its cold here right now but not soo cold that its not pouring down rain outside right now. Yesterday and today my car hasnt started in the morning. What happens is I turn the key an the engine turns on. If I hold the key the engine stays on....I have to hold the key just enough to have it not grind the engine but the heater still comes on. And here's the thing. The car heats up, the heater spits out hot air but still when I let go of te key it just shuts off. Yesterday it finally just started after a lot of prayer. lol. Then it was fine all day. So last night I put a blanket over the hood and then it rained. Grrreat. But that means it didnt get as cold so I thought it would be fine...its not. Its doin the same thing.

please help!!!

An odd first post, but it sounds like a problem with your ignition switch if it matters how you hold the key.

sometime you might need to put the ignition on and hit the gas pedal at the same time to start the car. My bro car wont start sometimes too and this help. The weather may be a factor.

You need to replace your ignition switch. It has nothing to do with the weather.
