I think Antonio said no, but for whatever reason, having tried both, to me the Lorenzo looks more swelled through the chest and generally feels more relaxed and comfortable.

Good info. Considering we have somewhat similar builds, I would that I would have the same experience. Might just kop some Eidos this season.

^ Could be I might have helped you out there. Entschuldigung.
I had been going back and forth on it and finally did 'it' last night, once I did the full math and realised the value proposition was undeclinable.

The suits are even better in that regard, alas the jacket - trew size pairing doesn't work for me.

Note to Greg, please make sure you have at least 3 of all items in typical kopping range in "our" size bracket (ie 50-52). Having only one of each is just silly. ;)

@FrankCowperwood

Frank, that IM sweater colour choice was indeed inspired. What size is yours? And you are a 50 in Formosa?
I have the standard grey on its way, that's why.

I so wish your store was locaterd in Europe... Awesome selection of stuff! And also great that you carry L sizes, which is all too uncommon unfortunately.

One question, for future MTO projects, be it Eidos or Formosa (wallet willing), will they send to you and then you send it onwards or can it be sent directly to me? So I don't get hit with taxes and duties? I was part of a couple of Carmina MTOs for Gentlemens's Footwear, located in San Diego, and Carmina sent the shoes to me directly. Which was great since I avoided all extra expensen (and got the goods far prior to everyone else :D )

@Keen

Carmina have an online shop. Neither Formosa or Eidos have that, so no logistics to ship to customers directly. This was already confirmed/stated by Greg a while ago. On the plus side, the US prices are net of any tax, so you are at least not hit twice.

Ah, makes sense. Too bad, but understandable. Good to know about taxes tho, will have to check against Euro prices to see if it would be worth it. No retailer in Sweden that I know of, other than the collaboration with Eton. Although a friend seems to know the Eidos guys.

I have no idea how the MTM program with Eidos works at this point, so I cannot tell you if it's possible to have the garments shipped directly and separately. Usually, MTM orders are sent to the store/retailer who will check against the order, fit the customer if possible and then dispatch. This is certainly how we've done it with Formosa, Vass, Rota, La Portegna, etc... and my experience is that there is always, at one point, an error somewhere. Usually the customer never knows about it: we return the item to the maker to correct the spec before contacting the customer. We're not in the business of selling goods that are drop-shipped to the end customer without checking if everything is as ordered.

Maybe @NickPollica can answer the question on Eidos MTM and direct shipping.

^^So there is going to be MTM program with Eidos? It might have been stated before but I must have missed it. Is it going to be through NMWA or through Eidos directly? Also, what would the primary differences be between Formosa MTO and Eidos MTM? Might be worth trying both!

Holy man, you are thinking it to death. Which suit do you actually like better?

That's the problem. I like them both. Eidos, for the vest and narrower sleeves, and Formosa, for the handwork and lower buttoning stance. I suppose that the Formosa jacket is a little more versatile, since it doesn't have any overchecks, but it is also 40 percent more. I'd like to get both eventually, but which should I get first?

Obvious answer is get them both, try them both on, and then either keep both or send back the one you like less.

I think Greg has said a million times that its cool to do that as long as you are not just using his services and planning on kopping elsewhere. I mean, as he said, in a brick and mortar store you can try stuff on first, and NMWA aims to allow customers to do the same before being locked in to a purchase.
