Will you send them some gefilte fisch ?

Wrapped in the Washington Jewish Week; "Shlomo sleeps with the fishes".

edit: ah, I now see I was about 18 mins late on this. At the time I was out grilling my fishes (shrimps, actually), so was checking in between turning skewers. Grilled lemongrass & sriracha shrimp, if anyone's taking notes. And yes, I eat late.

Personally I prefer the F. The U is a little bit too sleek IMHO.

This. The F last is better proportioned, better balanced and more of a timeless classic design. All IMO of course.

I have a pair of U last austerity brogues and really like them. I look at pictures of OE II on U and F and can't say which I prefer, so I keep not ordering. I also want to get a pair of "French Oxfords" and similarly can't decide which last.

I have a freakishly high instep due to multiple basketball ankle sprains, and have no issues fitting into F. YMMV of course

F and P2 are my favorite lasts right now. P2 is the most underrated of all - people change their mind instantly about it once they try it on.
Based on fit, aesthetics, or both? I also have a freakishly high instep (probably due to same reason as you) and haven't found a really well-fitting RTW shoe yet - though my experience isn't vast. Thanks.

Even with derbies/bluchers? My experience is that I pretty never have instep issues with bluchers because the lacing opens up completely and I can adjust it around my instep in a way that's not possible with oxfords.

I like F and P2 the most in terms of shape/aesthetics. My feet aren't that difficult to fit so I usually find a size that works for me in every last out there - it's very rare that I eliminate a last entirely because I cannot find a size that fits me.

I think the the highest point of the F last's instep is relatively high, but the slope of the instep is steeper than the P2. I found the P2's instep more gradual and therefore slightly more accommodating at the lower laces (if that makes any sense at all)

No, sorry I wasn't clear. Just oxfords - I'm the same as you regarding bluchers, probably the reason most of my shoes are of this kind. Thanks for the response.

That makes perfect sense. Thanks.
