This is exactly where I'm at. I asked Leaves for a picture of Bonafè's leathers a couple of weeks ago, and I instantly made up 8-10 pairs in my mind. I will visit SkoAB next week and see what the colors look like IRL.

Lucky!!! I wish I could just go visit SkoAB whenever I wanted.

I wish it was easier to see/feel swatches in the flesh. Just from the GG trunk show, some of the leathers i thought i would like, were just too rigid for my taste. On the flip side, others i had discounted, i simply fell in love with.

Does anyone know if EG country calf is the same leather as GG highland grain?

What did they discontinued?

Country calf and Highland grain to me seem the same but, EG does not line country calf while boots from G&G I have in highland grain are lined.

Pardon me for the interruption but I would like to pitch an idea for another GMTO this time through Carmina. Is anybody else interested in this model on Rain last, color and soles to be agreed on.

If it's in the same color of mid-dark brownish shell cordovan and Dainite/Victory soles, I'd be in.

You guys know there will be no Cordovan GMTOs or ready-to-wear styles for a while right? There is a severe Horween Cordovan shortage. Carmina only accepts single MTO Cordovan orders. That Frankenstitch might be the only new Cordovan style we see in many months. This is the only Cordovan style we have in stock now:

:( oh yeah, forgot about the single part. Ugh. I thought Carmina uses Comipel or Japanese/Argentinian shell though?

Yes I know about cordovan shortage. I would be interested in this boot in tan grain color.

Can I know if Enzo Bonafe use JR leather sole or can choose JR sole during resole with some premium surcharge?

We have a new tan grain material coming from a Swedish tannery called Tärnsjö. It's the same leather we are using for our fur lined boots, launching later this month. This leather has been specially sourced by us, I visited the tannery about 6 months ago to see the whole tanning process and get a feel for the company. It's a really old tannery, tracing back their history to 1873.

That looks great, Leaves. I like that exact boot, too.
