Tramezza's in my opinion are slightly better than AE and Alden in finishing but wear quickly. I do no find them to be up to the level of C&J or carmina. Not to mention they are extremely overpriced.
Um, have you ever handled C&J handgrades? If so, you would not say that AE independence are at that level. I put AE independence as not quite as nice as C&J benchgrades. Hand grades are yet another step up.
All shoes from Ferragamo aren't equal in quality. The Tramezza line is better than AE and just as good (if not better) than C&J, Alden, Carmina etc.

In my opinion, the AE Independence line is superior to Alden and on par with C&J handgrade, but a fraction below the higher English lines.
