So, I had a buyer ask me to measure inner sole length of a shoe I'm selling. I measured to the best of my ability and gave him the measurements.
He replied with "my foot measures to XXxx and I think these are too large"

What's the rule of thumb in determining how much longer the inner sole should be longer than 1. One's actual foot size and 2. One's tagged shoe size

Thanks!

I think the rule of thumb is don't humor idiots that ask for insole measurements (or worse, outsole).

I think the insole is normally 1/4 -1/2 inches longer than your foot. I'm not sure how precise that is.

I loaned my camera to a friend to use during his vacation to Hawaii and I get it back this weekend. But I grabbed so many nice things recently it's hurting me not to be able to post things up on the ebay. Need to fund more thrifts =(.

Hi All,

I notice I don't see much from this group up on the SF Marketplace. Do you find it useful at all to crosspost your eBay listings there, or no? And please correct me if I'm wrong.

I post my stuff to here and just found this and posted a few things here. Are there any other places you post your auctions/BINOBOs?

Thanks!

Most items will bring significantly more, even after fees, on ebay. Plus, you can move much more volume there.

Still, there are certain things that I like to sell here and not on ebay.

It's funny but I would say 90% of the people on ebay want the outsole measurement....

Jimmy shoe?

I don't sell many shoes on eBay - have never been asked for an outsole measurement - and if I were, I'd probably ignore and maybe block as that only smells like a later return to me.

I dont get the confusion of outsole measurement posting, guys. Its a legit question to ask I think - why not just take the few seconds to post it in the description to prevent the questions if you get them all the time?

I understand posting it so you don't get bugged, but do you really believe it's a valid measurement? A full shoe size is only like 1/4". You could easily see deviations greater than that simply due to a narrow pointy or wide stubby last.
