Ed, when my laptop battery went even after I got a new one it didn't work well. It might be a goner.

this has been my experience as well.

My lady friend doesn't seem to have any concept of saving money, or at the very least, the value in not spending $80 on dinner every night.

So I realize others have more serious problems but I'm still going to complain. My laptop battery doesn't take a charge anymore. I get back from lunch, push the lid back and it dies. All my work for the day (admittedly not much) is gone. Yay.

This could happen to me and it wouldn't matter, because I haven't done any work today.

A few colleagues of mine make a pot of Folgers every morning and often ask why I don't drink it. If they ask again I'm going to say, "Because that fuckin' swill in your mug is not fit for consumption by anyone or anything."

In 2010 I walked through 24" of snow for two blocks to get some Coca-Cola and beer - i just made a huge batch of southern fried chicken and realized there was no coke and beer.

The best part was that my wife being angry at me for not having coke/beer before I started cooking... she expected me to go out during that NYC blizzard of 2010 to get the coke/beer/

nice you remember... it was two days after when the blizzard settled and everyone was immobile.

I'm pissed off about the weird weather... it's jacket weather one day and rainy... then I go to sleep and its perfect and chilly, only to wake up drenched in sweat because its near 70F and i've got a heavy comforter on me.

tomorrow its supposed to be super muggy and 80ºF... thats swamp ass inducing conditions.

That winter was horrible. I agree about the weather. I never know what shoes to wear in case of the rain and such. I have been having the same nightime temperature issues as well. I think I might break out the fresco suit tomorrow.

Ordered some stuff online that was shipped via UPS. It was supposed to be delivered in 4-7 days but that never happened and now I'm out of the city. I just checked the status and it's showing that it was signed for by someone. I'm guessing this means someone stole my package.

why do you think it was stolen? no way someone signed and is holding it for you?

There wasn't anyone at home to sign for it. I have a friend who lives close by so he went and checked and the deliverer had just left the package on the front door. There is no way anyone signed for it but at least it wasn't stolen.
