The delivered boots are nice, but not what I was expecting. I'll be pretty disappointed if they really look more like saddle than cognac.

(I understand that shades of shell vary, but that seems like a fairly significant variance.)

They are definitely lighter than the cognac shell from Epaulet, but the same colour as the cognac balmoral boots from SkoAB. The box says cognac shell cordovan.

I was so excited when I received mine that I did not even think about the ressemblance to the original Horween pics. They are really not the same colour.

They do look like Saddle, which will be really really disappointing to me as I had expected the cognac as I already have the almost same boot from Carmina in Saddle Shell... but as said above I will reserve judgment until i see them since I also am waiting the additional 3 weeks....

I've got the Carmina saddle shell wingtip boot above and these C&J Conistons which are calf but a similar lightness to the saddle shell:

That's why I wanted something darker but in a similar style.

I thought the boot below (Nick Horween's Carmina Cognac Shell Boot) was what we were aiming for with this MTO but I don't know if anyone made that clear to Carmina:

I have them right before me and believe me they are beautiful, but it's not what we signed up for. Given the material used I would accept minor deviations, but this is a completely different colour.

I agree the boot looks really nice but if we ordered cognac and these are in fact Saddle what are we going to do?
