If you were going to spend 450-550 on a plaid suit and had the option of buying a used Kiton or NWT HB Baldessarini, which would you choose? I'm veering towards the Hugo Boss, unless someone tells me that the difference in quality is huge...

Hello Tor,
Personally I would go for the Kiton. To me Kiton is the pinnacle, the one to aspire to. Nothing wrong with the Boss, but it's a lesser suit to me.

A few caveats though! Make sute you know what you are getting if you go with thre Kiton. Some sellers ( Ebay I'm guessing) embellish condition and age of their wares.

But if you go with a reputable seller like our own A Harris, Chuck F., or Sartoriale, I think you can get a very good value on a Kiton. I know you know your way around as an Ebay buyer of shoes. You can do the same with a Kiton. Good Luck! Post a picture of your final choice.

I don't like to wear other people's clothes...
If I can't afford the Kiton or Brioni new, I'll go with another high quality item on sale new... The Kiton will come at its time....

There is markedly different cut and aesthetic between the Baldessarini & Kiton. The Kiton definitely has more handwork and will be lighter by virtue of its design philosophy, while the HB will be more substantial and probably cut a bit fuller. Personally, I would go with the Baldessarini since you aren't compromising that much in the quality department, and you have the reassurance that the NWT item has undergone some botched tailoring job.

Baldessarini make a very nice suit imo (nothing to do with HB). Assuming they were comparable stylewise, I would probably go with Baldessarni given it's new, unless the Kiton was hardly worn and in like new condition.
