Honestly people, what do you see in these? Is it the approval of your fathers and grandfathers you're seeking. These must be the most boring shoes ever, in black!!!!!!!!

I don't know that I would call either one to be 'younger' than the other.

But I do personally prefer the original version, as I find that the toe detail balances out the rear quarter detail to my eye.

Uppingham II feels a little bit too simple in the toe in contrast to the rear quarters to me.

Of course opinions may vary.

Order one in green and one in navy!

Aw c'mon. It's still a beautifully proportioned and executed shoe. Not my personal cuppa but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate it.

They appear to be more rounded than all the TG73 that I've got. I think lighting plays a role in these images. They are gourgeous, like everything you folks turn out.

I'm leaning towards going with:

1.
2. Mayfair in the dark brown grain, single dainite sole, dg70 last, gold buckles
3. Dorchester in racing green, dg70 last, oak bark sole.
4. Oakham in navy with black grain for the strap/buckle area, dg70 last, haf sole or a westbury or a gable.....what do you guys think?

I'm not still not sure what shoes to go with for #1.

I'm 25, work on wall st, and don't want any clunky "old man" shoes for the rain (i wear peal & co blucher's now which feel that way), any suggestions?
Astaire in black alpine grain, dainite sole, dg70? Do any sort of contrasting?

It's a classic shoe that works with everything. Boring for peacockers maybe but I really do like them, St James is still nicer tho :D
