I've acquired a used suit which seems to fit me well, but needs some tailoring.

You can see the fit here: http://gallery.me.com/rudedog#100024

I know that the trousers and sleeves both need shortening. I'm not keen on the way the back of the sleeves bunch up around the shoulders; is this difficult to fix? Anything else I should know about?

Thanks

I'm far from one of the local experts, but the sleeves look fine to me. The shoulders seem like they might be a bit snug, but that could be the lighting. From the back the silhouette looks good but from the front it could be more pronounced. Pants obviously.

Take whatever I say with a grain of salt. I'm sure someone else will be able to chime in and do better. Looks okay overall to my untrained eye though.

I'm also interested in what the pro's around here have to say as there is something wrong with that fit for sure.
The way the lapels pull out would make me think it was too small, but then the closed quarters make me think it was too big..
Then there are those big creases down the back wrapping around the sides. Something weird is causing that. Maybe your shoulders are just too wide for that jacket?

The shoulders fit fine. The main "issue" is the sleeve pitch: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=93715 Other than that, I can't tell if it has front darts or not but it appears from the front at least that you could do with a little bit more taking in the fabric on the front side of the jacket. Waist suppression appears OK from the back side.

It is darted. I added some more photos with a close-up of just the jacket, and adjusted the contrast a bit. The sleeve pitch issue is very useful information, thanks.
