The arms should not be too hard to shorten but you may loose some detailing.

If you are serious, I would highly suggest going with the 46. Just looking at some of your fit pics, I think you would find 48 too big.

FYI-the cameramen jacket is truely a great piece. I don't regret spending the full price for it.

Ah, I see. Good advice and much appreciated. Since I wasn't able to get a highly desired piece in my size recently, I spent that money in some nice clothing for the lady or I'd be considering the cameraman jacket much more at the moment, but good to know for future. I admit though, I really like that navy Malloy tweed jacket even more though. I love that piece.

Volls.de now has 20% off Cabourn, minus the 19% VAT.

If one of those RAF navy Mallorys lasts somewhere to ~40% off, it will be mine. Still just too much for me at the moment.

When do they typically drop them to 40% off?

I don't even know if they will with Cabourn, but other stuff is already 30-50% off.

I'm thinking now might be the time to snag one if they have my size then right? That navy mallory is niiice. I can picture me layering a chunky knit, knit cap, gloves, some boots and taking to the snowy cold weather like a champ. That jacket just seems like it would hold up well and withstand the elements all the same.

Those who have ordered Nigel (specifically from LNCC) from UK, have you gotten hit with customs? I guess it depends who the shipper is, but it would suck to get a nice deal then get hit with $100s in customs which wipe the savings away.

Tonio- It's not too common to find Cabourn outerwear in your size, especially on sale. I've ordered from Superdenim.co.uk with no customs. It seems like the trick is to have the shop send the goods via their country's postal service, rather than UPS or Fedex. A lot of times, there isn't really a choice, though.

I've been looking at those reversible plaid shirts that Context has. Context said I would be a 52, but looking at the measurements it seems I'd be a 50.

Anyone try these shirts or anyone have opinions?

My Cameraman arrived yesterday and I can honestly say it is the greatest item of clothing I have ever owned, and I'm 38 years old. I just can't find any fault with it at all, it is perfect in my opinion. I am suffering with a really heavy cold at the moment but I should be able to get some photos on here in the next few days.

Hi guys,

having tried on the Cameraman Jacket, I'd urge you to go for your regular size, veering to the smaller one if you are in between. That is, if you want to have a more contemporary 'slim' fit (which is almost mandatory if you are slim yourself).

I'm 170cm x 64 kgs and 44 was perfect. I could probably wear a 46 but it was slightly bulky.

Now, the only problem I have with the cameraman jacket (unless it's the navy one, although I cannot find it anywhere in my size) is that I feel a bit ill-at-ease spending so much money on a piece of clothing which can be worn only in your free time. I'd like it to be slightly more flexible, something I could wear over a smart suit also.

LN-CC has some very good offers on the blue and orange ones but they make this issue even worse because of the colour.

^For those of us who wear a suit once every three years, it's just perfect

Isn't it great? I'm looking forward to photos...

I don;t have any experience, adam, but they don't look like the kind of shirt you'd want to size up on. I've known Context's measurements to be a bit off sometimes. If you are telling them that you are a size X in WWM/EG, that's probably a better comparison than measurements. Thanks for the photos, mtre. Sadly, it looks much less unique, almost like it could have come from any other British sporty outerwear label (Heritage Research/Albam/Garbstore). EDIT: Found another online shop to add to the stocklists: Peggs & Son

I did--told them I'm kind of between M/L in EG and WWM and a L in W+H.

I was expecting them to tell me I was a 50 which is what I was planning on ordering and was caught off guard when they said I'd be a 52.

I was hoping someone here had an experience with that type of shirt.
