Oh the Vikings meltdown is going to be super spectacular.

+1. They'll either be serious contenders (unlikely with Favre's/the entire offense's [[minus AP]] performance) or completely fail at life.

Fathers all over Minnesota are digging out their dictionaries to learn how to spell "prodigal".

Pats are loaded with draft picks, wow. 2 in each of the first 4 rounds. 3 in the 3rd I think? Rebuilding could be fast.

No matter how spectacular the crash, these next few weeks when these guys are excited to be together should be really amazing. You're gonna see some spectacular deep throws. I will even bet that Brett overthrows Randy on a deep route somewhere in the first two games, he'll be so jacked up.

You wonder if there will be a few kids in MN with Randy and Brett as their names.

True story, my parents considered naming me Bart after Bart Starr.

I'd call bullsh*t, but I was named after a Tampa Bay Rowdies player in the old American Soccer League

Or they will fall somewhere in the middle, actually this is by far the most likely scenario.

Seriously though, everyone got what they wanted it seems. Moss got out/paid, the Vikes got their man until Rice is back, and the Pats got another draft pick.

When the Pats got Moss for, if I recall correctly, a 4th round pick from the Raiders everyone suspected that that was potentially one of the best/worst (depending on which side you are on) deals in NFL history. 50 td's, 3700 yards, and a 3rd round pick later, our suspicions were affirmed.

From rookie contracts, player holdouts, and even trades 4 years past, it all comes back to the Raiders ******* up somewhere down the line.

Crabtree's holdout was due to the Raiders overpaying someone they drafted too high

Revis' holdout was due to the Raiders overpaying Asomugha

The Raiders traded a HoF player for a 4th rd pick that was traded for a 3rd rd pick 3 years later.

Idk I'm sure there are more, this is just off the top of my head

I maintain that Max Hall is the best QB on the roster.

While I generally don't want the Ravens rated very highly in various power ranking polls (I think 2 or 3 major outlets have them @ #1 or #2, which I think is crazy), it chaps ****** that ESPN has them below both the Steelers and Jets, both of them teams we beat away already this year.

I'm a big ravens fan, but they are not good right now. Flacco looks like a little ***** and the whole offense really has no discipline.

Steelers with Ben would destroy them.

So the NFL is looking into the Favre/Jenn Sterger Dicktures issue.

Makes sense as the Vikes are playing the Jets. Can't hold the Jets accountable for the Ines Sainz issue and then give Brett a pass. I would also push this if I were the Jets for the distraction part of it.

he NFL is reviewing allegations involving Brett Favre, who the website Deadspin says sent racy messages and photos to a former sideline reporter while he quarterbacked for the New York Jets in 2008.

"We are reviewing the matter," league spokesman Greg Aiello said Friday when asked about reports that a person alleged to be Favre sent voice mails and lewd pictures to Jenn Sterger.
