Yeah that's true, they're all 20 years old at this point. This guy has a bunch of classics like that, fewer new cars. Of the new cars he's got I've only seen the new M5, a Cayman, maybe the new 991, a 760Li, and he has a Toyota Century (all Japanese baller car enthusiasts seem to have a Century) but it's hard to tell what year any Century is unless you study them closely. It's likely new but they all look old. As for classics he has all those RR/Bentleys and then a 190E-2.5V Cosworth, and a black Testarossa.

Hello I wonder if you guys woukd be willing to give some advice

I just had a crash and wrote off my car. It was a 91 Toyota that I have had since the age of 19 so you can tell I am not really a "car guy"

I need to buy a car. I've always wanted a convertible to be able to drive with the roof off and get some rays.

Money is really no object, but I wouldnt want anything too ostentatious or difficult to drive day to day. Im not over fussed about performance

It seems a lot of convertible cars are really ugly: elongated and boat-like or really feminine.

I dont mind the look of the Mercedes SLK55. I also sort of even like the aesthetic of Jeep Wranglers. So that gives you an idea of how broad my range is

PS This is not a midlife crisis :embar: Im only 31

Money is no object? The rolls royce phantom drophead is rather nice at half a million dollars.

If money is actually an object then the Mercedes SL is a cracking car.

Aston Martin convertibles and the Jaguar XK come to my mind.

Both gorgeous (subjective I know) and stylish especially the Astons, it just never seems out of place let it be a wedding or a funeral.

Also reasonably fast but comfy, they are true GT-cruisers.

That new Jaguar coming out looks quite nice. New there is the 981 Boxster and Audi A5 to consider as well.

Used: 987 Boxster, Honda S2000, BMW M3 Convertible.

I thought most of you guys disliked the Boxster?

Find it hard to believe that this guy is gonna go from a 91 Toyota to a Bentley GTC.

You would be surprised. Two of my friends parents clear well over 500k and drive pleb cars. BUT their homes are :inlove:

I also know a guy working in finance making about 70k that drives a new CL63 AMG.

Boxster is the best convertible Porsche makes, and the Cayman is the best car they make (maybe the 918 is better, I haven't driven it).

If I was looking for a price-is-no-object convertible, I would get an Icon FJ40...
