Our Legacy - Page 27

The Great Sweat 50's from this season sucks.

The inner lining is so much worse than last years Great Sweat,

which was weaved. This season's is just plain simple H&M-lining.

Debating about getting an ol crewneck sweater, navy, in Large. Anyone know of any places that have these on sale or other brands to look into as well? Just want something simple and quality and not too itchy. Thanks.

I wear XS in GBV, and GBV is the ideal shirt for my body.

1940 is an.. interesting cut - narrower than gitman in the shoulder, wider at the waist.

Their webstore sale will start pretty soon I think, as will Mr. Porter

Tbs after the 15% off winter coupon and vat deduction is a good place to get it too.

Have any of you purchased any OL cardigans this season? I am thinking of picking up the alpaca one, was wondering if you guys had any info on fit (slouchy right?) and if it feels nice

Tried on an alpaca sweater that ended up not being my size -- incredibly nice hand.

Has anybody tried on the Archive blazer?

Thinking about getting it in xs, does it fit like this in real life?

Everything that guy puts on his body looks like it fits awfully, so I'm guessing the fit would probably look nicer on someone normal, but I haven't had any experience with that jacket so I couldn't say.

I've got that jacket coming today or tomorrow. Little concerned about sizing, since measurements on it seem to vary from vendor to vendor and I already tend to be in between sizes, anyway. I'll post my thoughts on it after it arrives.

I don't think it fits like this irl.

Guy looks like he's pretty tall (above 180 cm), very narrow forward sloping shoulders and wide hips. You can easily see that his hips are about the same width as his shoulder or even wider, and that he's got pretty bad posture. His arms look thin too.

Got it tonight. It's the navy version, not the one pictured above, but I'll share some thoughts anyway.

- Fits true to size. I have a 41-inch chest and ordered the 52, but think a 50 would probably look better because the shoulders are a bit too big for me. The 50 has a chest of 42.5", which would probably be JUST enough room for what I'm comfortable with.
- Based on some of the pictures, I was expecting the fabric to be a little stiffer. It's no flimsy, but there's more give to it than I expected. The fabric blend seems kind of warm for a blazer, but it is a touch scratchy. Not unbearably so, but it's not a smooth hand.
- I'm sending the 52 back, but will likely grab the 50, since it more or less fits the bill of what I was looking for (an EG-like blazer without the bizarre proportions).
