So I'm sleeping on my bed, zzzzing away, and all of a sudden my computer starts talking. My ******* computer computer started talking.
eh.gif
At first it was a little girl's giggle, then some other odd sounds and finally a guys voice screaming red code. That's all I heard before I cut the volume to my speakers. I thought it might have been a program running (i.e those stupid voice activated smilies in advertisements) or someone sending me an animation on msn, but the only windows open were: Internet Explorer (on SF) and 'My Pictures'. My msn wasn't even running, let alone signed on.

So at 2:25 a.m I amd writing this, while tripping balls as to why my computer just started talking to me. Can anyone tell me WTF is going on?

BTW this is not a joke thread, or parody, or anything stupid. I'm 100% dead serious this happened.

Possible reasons:
A) You were dreaming
B) Enter the matrix
C) Follow the rabbit
D) Stop browsing Appreciation, it gives you viruses
E) It was the mothership calling you
F) Poltergeist
G) Why no poal?

In any case, conserve energy, put your computer to sleep, and lay off the drugs.

probably. I also usually turn off my computer every night, but I fell asleep at like 8. And it definitely was not a dream. I haven't been near my bed since it happened. I actually jumped out fast lol.

Did anyone else encounter the popup virus-like thing in the early 00's that would fill and keep generating new popup windows of goatse faster than you could close them, while a loud voice would repeat "Hey everybody, I'm looking at gay Appreciation!"

I only got fooled into it once, for a few seconds, but I'm thankful for the new direction in which RickRolling has gone.

Some wiring in your speakers could have acted like an antenna and picked up some short wave radio frequencies, like walkie talkies. Do you live in an urban area?

suburban. FWIW this has never happened before. To make sure no one is near my house with any communication devices i checked my cameras and its all clear. I turned off my computer, but next time this happens i am going to video tape for proof!
