How much should I be looking to pay for something like that? And are there any similar styles for the lining? Thanks!

So I ended up copping the Polo Academy Pea Coat. Actually ended up getting it for $178, they had some good sales going on at the outlet. On polos site its $425. So now I have that one and the JCREW one. One will deff be getting returned. I really like both and each has its benefits. Which one yall think looks better on me? Polo:

@Urijah1086 : A little tough to distinguish the details of the J. Crew peacoat ( a little blurry), but in my opinion I like the lining on the lapels of the Polo coat AND the fact it has side-front pockets. Can't go wrong there.

I'm 173 cm tall, or 5' 8.1" ft. I really want this coat, but I am unsure if it fit's. As my measurement around my chest is 32 inches, but the sizing guide says the coat chest is 38 inches. How come? Since the sleeves seems to fit me. Can I use this coat?

Last, the Tyrwhitt coat, at 169 GBP which is about $265 USD, isn't overly expensive in that it has a wool/cashmere shell but unless that's exactly what you want, you can get a 100% wool or wool/synthetic fabric coat for a much lower price.

If you really want my opinion which is based on my assumptions about you.. since you're 17 and you want the coat for what you describe as casual use, you can probably be happy with a coat that isn't quite as expensive and is probably more durable. FWIW.

Live in Norway, so need to import. What other sites sells good peacoats then? Not from US.

How much can you take a coat in? Around my chest I'm 32 inches so...

yeah i think maybe its just cuz polo makes so much products in sheer volume and its just everywhere and there are a ton of terribly ill fitting products, but i feel like polo (especially on sale) is a better price/quality brand for staple items compared to jcrew.

^Polo has a bunch of junk, but a few really good things too, but that stuff can be insanely expensive, even if it's tagged PRL. In the '90's when I was in high school I enjoyed going to Marshall's/TJ Maxx and the RL outlet to try and snag the really rare stuff made of interesting materials/good designs. I think I got a RLPL polo for like $15 and a 100% silk knit for like $10, stuff like that. I'd just follow whatever tags had ludicrous RRP's and like 99% discounts taken off.
