That is partly true, but I have a sage patternmaker/factory coordinator who works at a non-profit textiles research institute... I took an old made in Belgium Raf coat to him and asked him what he though of the construction, materials, overall quality, and here is what he said: 'this costs $20-$50 to make, materials and labor'
