After hanging dry, do you find they are wrinkled? Do you hot iron them? With steam? Trying to figure out what works best for cleaning them but also not having a ton of wrinkles and creases.

I cold wash and hang dry all of my Rivets and I don't think they are too wrinkled to wear without ironing. I usually run my hand over them to smooth the fabric out while they are wet (on the hanger) and again if needed after they are dry (laid flat). I'm not wearing them to an office or anything, but I like the way they look after this. Even if I don't bother to smooth them out, they are only ever slightly rumpled and you can't really tell after 30 minutes of wear.

I only have experience with duck and 8oz canvas chinos and they all crease in the usual spots. Not really sure what you're gonna do to avoid that.

I have about a dozen pairs of cotton Rivet Chinos of different types of cloths (7oz, 8oz, 10oz canvas, G&L twill, various other twills). I find most of them to wrinkle after wash and hang dry, and I usually iron them using the "cotton" setting on the iron.

The one exception is the G&L twill. It is almost wrinkle free after a wash and tumble dry (after 1st wash to get maximum shrinkage before hem) or hang dry, and is my favorite chino material.

Okay, I'm really confused on sizing for Walts and Rivets and want to see if someone can help me figure this out. I'm comparing:

http://epauletnewyork.com/collectio...cts/rivet-chino-galey-lord-twill-midnight-oil

and

http://epauletnewyork.com/collections/trousers-chinos/products/slim-walt-trouser-navy-sanded-canvas

On these sites, for the same size, 36 (my size isn't listed but I'm assuming the relative differences are what I am interested in) I see that the rivet has a 1/2 inch smaller waist and also a smaller rise, but the thigh and leg opening are larger than the Walt. So does that make the Walt an overall trimmer fit in the leg, but the rivet has a shorter rise and smaller waist?

My dilemma is that I purchased some size 40 walt cotton pants and they seem to fit fine (snug in waist, but workable). I then did an MTO rivet duck canvas and ended up going with a 41 to get them to fit in the waist. However, with the 41 rivet MTO the legs just feel too billowy and the leg opening just feels too large, especially when I turn up the cuff on them. I realize the duck canvas material doesn't help since it is stiff, but I find that the smaller size 40 Walt's legs just feel better and more slim.

Are these impressions correct? Does the rivet have wider legs and do people have to size up from their walt size?

Also, how does the new driggs fit compare to these two? It seems it is similar to the Walt, but has an even shorter rise than the rivet and the leg tapers more than the walt?
I wear a 28 in Walt and a 29 in Rivet. I absolutely can't fit in a 28 Rivet even before washing/drying. The rivet legs are definitely fuller.
If you want slimmer legs with a higher rise take a look at the Driggs fit. The rise is in between Walt and Rivet. I believe has slimmer legs than even the Walt.

I've also gone with a 28 Rivet and had the seat and waist let out to the max. It results in a slimmer fit in the legs than getting my usual size in Rivets.

I'm not sure how people wear both the walts and rivets in the same size. Maybe I'm not meant for the rivets, but I would need to, at the minimum, increase my waist by an inch in respect to my walts. The rise for both of these pants are different and my waist is slimmer in the upper half (walts) and wider towards the hips (rivets).

I certainly don't. I wear Rivets one size larger than Walts, same as you sounds like.

Happens all the time and I have never understood why they ship UPS even when USPS is requested.

UPS is used for more expensive items. I believe north of $250 in value.

Thanks, that helps confirm what I thought. As far as the Driggs, though, isn't the rise shorter than the Rivet even?
