When do you expect the Southwick Overcoat Sportcoat to come in? Also, are you planning on doing any other styles of the Wakefield topcoat (or any other topcoats) this year? Thanks!

For anyone considering the Olive Windowpane tweed I just got it last week and highly recommend it. Got a ton of compliments the first time I wore it, and I think the olive will make it really easy to wear.

Yeah, smoking makes all of the clothes look less appealing.

Ugh. I actually disagree. My grandmother died of throat cancer from smoking, but I'll be damned if I were to tell her what to do. And she never used the health care system, so I can't bring that argument into the equation. Very old age is very awful, from what I've seen....

I'm assuming the Regiment Twill trousers soften up a bit with wear/wash? Mine are still box-fresh aside from a trip to the tailor, so they're not quite "falling" in a way that looks natural yet. Also, what's the best approach to washing these when that time comes? I'm far too lazy to peruse this thread to find the answer.

Yup, they'll absolutely soften up with a wash or two. That twill is a little tough when it's still "raw." For cleaning them, I'd recommend cold washing and hang drying. Some guys dry clean them because they prefer the pressed n' creased look, but it's not necessary. Thanks for picking them up!

Hmmm, for topcoats, we actually reordered into the Wakefield as it stands. I'm not going to stock any other variants.

That said, we can certainly do a special order for you. The Wakefield can be ordered in either heavyweight solid grey or navy wool, or I have this beautiful marled Harris Tweed which will arrive in the next month or so. Drop Matt a PM at leftofthedial and he can give you more info on the process. The turnaround is pretty quick. Our Eisenhower and Donnie jackets will arrive next week, but they're shorter and can't really accommodate a sportcoat underneath.

And the other option is the "Monte Carlo" by Wellensteyn. Not sure if this is your style, but it's been one of our best-selling winter jackets year after year. It's very warm, totally waterproof, and it's a really great value. The faux-fur collar is removable too.

Do you guys ever stock Carminas in a size 7?

Also, are these still available for preorder?

http://www.epauletshop.com/servlet/the-1777/Special-Order-Caramel-Calf/Detail

It says it ended 9/24 but i can still add a size to cart

And in size 6UK, the online shop never seems to have any in that size.

Typically, I'll only order Carminas starting at size 7UK (8 US). But we can easily make smaller sizes when we do these special MTO projects.

And yes, I reopened that wholecut order to allow 2 customers to purchase them last week. I checked with Carmina and nothing had been cut yet, so if anyone is interested in getting onto the style, we can still accept your preorders on it. I'll most likely close it on Monday.

Got two photos for y'all!

First off, an Ashland shirt just hit us on Friday. I'll put this online Tues-Wed. It's a gorgeous Fall-color check with smoke mother of pearl buttons:

Love the Ashland! Q: I always think spread collars look best w/ a tie. Do you see a lot them w/ out? What do peeps on here think?

Also, FWIW: I ******* LOVE the Harris Tweed mashup and have wanted it since the day it dropped. The reality is I will get more wear from a navy hopsack, but I just dig that thing. A little out of my budget, but I hope people do pick that thing up. So nuts.

I never told anyone what to do. I'm for legalizing most drugs, prostitution, etc.... Libertarian here.

BUT SMOKING MAKES THE CLOTHES LOOK LESS APPEALING TO ME. I associate it with cancer (like your grandmother had) and uncleanliness. Some people think it's cool or sexy. Maybe that's the market the pictures where made for.
