Anyone remember what the ETA is on the second round of factory finds?

I'm still waiting on the first round of factory finds, but I think the second round should ship about a month after the first round. So maybe late September we should start seeing the finished product?

Yowza! I received my first round of trousers close to two weeks ago...have you checked in with anyone from the shop yet?

Awning trousers today:

Those are way better than I imagined. Very nice use of the vertical elements in the first picture.

Just got a point collar shirt in the mail. The collar is a bit to still for my tastes and I don't like how it looks when I leave some buttons unbuttoned. Any way to soften it up a bit? Would I be crazy for getting a tailor to sew it down or add some buttons and buttonholes?

Thank you. The trousers get tons of compliments because of the stripes. Haha, this was outside the cafe at work. I have no time to scour for real backdrops :(

I believe the 2nd round should be done by the end of this month/beginning of next.

So, I managed to miss my size in the CMX Steinbeck boot. The new preorders look great, but since I was looking for a winter boot the CMX might be the better choice.
Are they going to be restocked, by any chance?
Thanks!

Absolutely, we should get a full restock of the Faulkner & Steinbeck around early November.

As previously Mike, any chance of them returning?

At the moment, I don't have any plans to restock Japanese Khaki, but we'll have some new cottons coming out over this season - including, I believe, some more options in the khaki family. The next big chino drop is the three colors of Bedford Corduroy, which should be any week now.

Might have missed my ^^^ question. Just wanted to know if I should wait for new wool rivets to be released or purchase something else now.

Ah sorry that I missed that. Those three colors of flannel will be the only wool rivets that are released this season. All of the other flannels will be done in the Walt/Rudy trousers.

Did some searching to see the shade of Japanese khaki people are talking about and found these pictures - god, I need some gunmetals in my rotation ASAP. Ship some Rivets down to Need Supply so I can figure out my size in person, haha.

Also, I'm pretty sure you've answered this before but I couldn't find it - what shoes are being worn here?

Ah, those were our Mark McNairy (Sanders UK) Chelsea boots that we did back in 2009.

Will the Brixton boot be available in any other colors in the near future?

Definitely, we have it on order in chromexcel and a smattering of shell cordovan colors. Hopefully we'll get some more soon.

Mike-
Can you tell us more about the Grape Flannel.
I am intrigued.

Mike-
Any chance you will be doing Cords in the Walt fit or have them as an option for Factory Finds?

Okay, with no exaggeration, the Grape Flannel is the greatest flannel tone that I've ever seen. It's freaking amazing. Wear those with a navy blazer and saddle shell boots and you will be knocking people **** over arse.

I'm REALLY excited to show you guys the Fall trouser lineup. There's a lot of strong colors in there, but everything is very wearable. It's going to tie back beautifully to our sportcoats, outerwear, sweaters, and shoes. It's cool to see how Fall is developing. As a designer, I always considered myself way too ADD to do a seasonal collection. I'm addicted to new things coming in all of the time, constant updates, constant releases. But I feel that everything is coming together and jiving very well as a group. I'll definitely do one or two "Epaulet Outfits" photoshoots to show how all the Fall merchandise can be worn together.

Oh, and yes, we'll absolutely have cords in the next round of Factory Finds.

I dig all the Carmina makeups, but I am anxiously awaiting something simpler (not a wingtip man): captoe or brogued cap toe. You know you want to do this.

Got you covered for that. I've got quite a few styles on order in this vein already. And I agree, we should definitely hook up some simpler and dressier makeup projects. The wholecut and brown Jophur sound really good.

i like what NYR did with his laces here, but I'm wondering if people have recs for leather laces that are basically a replacement for the original laces that were on these shoes--I just cut one riding my bike.
Just took my factory find trousers in for hemming, and looking forward to rocking my two pairs, especially the olive check that I put some cuffs on. C'mon fall.

Drop Adele a PM, we can send you out a replacement pair on the house. No problemo.

And looking forward to the fit pics!

My Steinbecks arrived today and they are beautiful!  God I wish it were cooler and I had my fall trousers back from the tailor.  Though of my boots, they are the only ones sleek enough to work ok with my walt 120s.

My job requires me to be in and out of my car all day rain, snow or shine, so I really look forward to a good looking pair of boots that can handle this!

When I get my trousers back I will use my digital camera for some better pics, but for now, iphone pics will have to do:

And the line up so far for my first winter since carrying about footwear... Damn allen edmonds kenworth (or it was called kennelworth or kenmore or something)!  That was pandoras box for me!  Should have stuck with maddens from payless!

The midnight steinbecks sound really cool, but I am afraid they will be too dark.  I do not want a boot that looks black.  Plus I really want some of the balmorals and doubt that I can afford both.

Mike, can you elaborate at all on what leathers will be used on the next shipment of balmorals?  I am definitely looking for something pretty safe and classic.

Awesome! The boots look fantastic - thanks for picking them up!

The Midnight calf is a dark navy, but it definitely looks blue and not black in natural light. It's a really balanced tone.

At the moment, I don't actually have any Balmoral boots coming in outside of the special orders that we ran. I will have some captoe boots though, from both Carmina and Alden.

Anyone remember what the ETA is on the second round of factory finds?

Should be around the end of the September. I believe that they're being cut early next week.

And for the first round of Factory Finds, we shipped out all of the Walts. I'm still waiting on the Rudy's, but expecting them any day now.

If anyone ordered a WALT and didn't receive it, please let us know and we'll track it down for you. But to my knowledge, we shipped out everything complete.

You wear those so freaking well! I love your fit pics with the Awning stripe.

Try washing it once, that's definitely going to soften up the collar. And I know people who have successfully converted the point collar into a buttondown, it's totally possible. Could look very cool.

EPAULET LOS ANGELES TRUNK SHOW - SATURDAY, SEPT 22nd
**Save the date**

1000

Dear Homies from the West Side:

It's confirmed. On Saturday, Sept 22nd, Dylan and I will host an Epaulet trunk show at the Standard Hotel downtown.

We had a fantastic time in San Francisco this past Spring, and we've decided to do it again on our own. They'll be more details to come, but the short story is that we'll bring a bunch of product (shirts, trousers, chinos, sportcoats, shoes) for you to see in person and try one. There won't be a lot of stock to buy, but it will be a great opportunity for you to see the goods in person and figure out your size. We'll bring some exclusive merchandise and offer some special deals as well to everyone who comes to the show.

And after that is.... A FREE KARAOKE PARTY THAT GOES ALL FREAKING NIGHT. Hosted by yours truly. We're going to get the huge room at Max Karaoke in the Little Tokyo shopping plaza and seriously bring the pain. Expect some "Let Me Ride" by Dr. Dre. And plenty of Billy Joel.

On top of that, we'll probably look to have a fun, huge dinner on Friday night. I've got a few places that I'm considering. Would you guys be willing to drive to the Valley to go to the strangest, unchanged 60's relic Tiki bar of all time? We could own that spot for the night.

More details to come, but please punch this into your calendar for the time being. I'm a huge fan of LA, and I can't wait to go out there and hang out with you guys.

Man, I wish I lived in NYC! Sounds like a blast! How about "special deals" for all of us who will be at the trunk show in spirit haha!

I just visited NYC for the first time and reveled in my gluttony for five days. Although we didn't go anywhere crazy, momofuko samm, noodle bar and milk bar were great (granted probably nothing special for a denizen); as were Maison Premiere all you can eat oysters, A-Wah for chinese and some awesome chinese bakery where nothing was in English (scoured the interwebs to find that one)... Choosing a restaurant in NYC is like choosing those damn special order trousers... you can't go wrong, but you want to make the best choice because you can't choose them all (or at least I can not)!

I thankfully was not able to stop by Epaulet, as the GF probably would shoot me if she knew how much I spend per pair of trousers... She is more of a gap/old navy girl :(

And I guess I will be waiting for some balmorals for a while... Can you elaborate on any of the other boots that are on the way as far as ETA and material/color, or are you keeping it under wraps for now? I need to decide if I will go with one of those, or these blue steinbecks.

I'm there. Missed the SF trunk show by two days so it'll be nice to see a lot of Epaulet in person. Work in the valley as well so would definitely be down for the 60's relic bar

this sounds awesome. and my new theory on life is say yes to everything. so valley tiki bar sounds aok (any chance it's anywhere near the red line--my other new theory on life in LA is bicycle+metro=win), as does karaoke, and of course the trunk show at the standard.
