The crewneck is a WL oxton with slightly longer sleeves and a standard cuff. Go your usual WL size. Simon describes it as a 2 ply, but it is a 1 ply by WL standards. The size labelling on the rugby is for whatever reason one size off usual WL sizing, hence why Simon says it fits small so...- happydayz1

No worries. If I recall correctly, the 3 ply they had, very similar in weight and fit to your 2 ply Lockie made for William Crabtree, were retailing at around €480 and there was circa 30-50% off on the remaining stock. Agree with DorianGreen. Sizing looks correct for a shawl cardigan, but the length of this piece would potentially bother me. I do think you could try a size down as there certainly is some natural stretch in cashmere as the fibres loosen up. Just keep an eye on proportions though as there should...- happydayz1

No problem. It is from Blue Beach Denim, a specialist independent retailer in Taiwan. This particular colour / yarn is a small quantity custom order made for them by Inis Meain, so not one that will be sold in other Inis Meain stockists. They do however deliver worldwide...- happydayz1

Latest pick up is from Inis Meáin. It won’t be to everyone’s taste as it does have a zip but I really like the piece. Made from 30% cashmere and 70% merino wool yarn from Filati Biagioli and knitted in the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland. It has a lovely hand feel and depth.- happydayz1

They definitely did a Rollneck in Courchevel in late 2022 but it sold out pretty quickly at the time. I have the crewneck version in both Courchevel and Ecru and would agree it potentially would be slightly too heavy for warmer months. An alternative might be William Lockie’s “mist”...- happydayz1

I take size 42 in both Colhays and WL. Colhays list 42 as a size large, whereas I would usually consider a size 42 offering to be a medium. Regardless, I find the 42 in Colhays fits every so slightly bigger than a 42 in WL’s Oxton range. I would personally opt for the same numerical size...- happydayz1

Johnston’s of Elgin do some full zip as far as I recall. If open to a good quality cashmere / merino wool blend (70/30), Inis Meain do a nice more ornate Aran style zip through.- happydayz1
