Nice tie! I'd suggest a 4iH or Prince Albert knot instead, though.

For anyone wondering or interested, CS advised that the bicep size does increase a noticeable amount (YMMV) with a neck size increase, so I'm likely going to try swapping some 16.5 twill shirts for 17s and report back. From what I understand, you can look at their custom shirt defaults and see...

Suggestions for upper end OTR dress shirts for tall and thin/athletic men?

Bump. Are there any other recommendations for us athletic guys?

Ok. So 16.5 Contemporary in anything thicker than your typical poplin or end on end fits me way too tight. I'm guessing us more athletic / muscular folks are basically out of luck at S&M?

Curious, how long does order "processing" usually take with S&M?

I'm a relatively fit/broad-shouldered guy with a decent drop (46R in jackets, 35-36 waist). I ordered some 16.5 shirts in contemporary fit (figured I'd get them taken in the stomach area, at worst). I just didn't want my arms/shoulders to have no wiggle room. Did I, uh, make the right choice...

I didn't say anything about sizing, per se. I asked about going wider, my guy! I think it's reasonable to suggest that going wider will get you a somewhat better "V fit" regardless of AE's other inconsistencies.

As someone newer to fine shoes and how they fit, seeing that much v opening leads me to believe that going up a width would be a good idea. Am I wrong in that assessment?

Loving the Denali STB. Exceptionally comfortable out of the box, and I find them quite versatile. Apologies for my socks being a shade or two darker than my pants. My bad.

Ah, I see. Indeed, that is a beautiful pair of shoes! Shame they had to go.

Am I the only one that doesn't like what they do to the grain on the toe on these? Is there a practical reason why they smooth it out like that?
