A good Maserati Quattroporte III can be had under $10,000 which is a huge deal considering the very limited quantities they were built in, and the high quality--they were a virtually hand-built mass production car, which, though, makes for a difficult situation if you ever find yourself in an accident. How many body shops know how to hang doors on a car that was hand-filled at the seams? That interior would also be expensive to replace--huge amounts of briarwood and apparently 8 entire cowhides were used.
I'm sure they will become collector's items at some point in the future -- I just wouldn't want to have to drive a Lagonda now for any future benefit! We all have to drive what calls to our souls, as I know you do. The Maserati isn't bad, though. But....8 hides? My, my , my....

TVRs are, to quote Top Gear, absolutely mental.

Agree on the estates -- I've seen DB5 estates, that ruined Volvo, and an estate of my XJS. The people who do those things have lost sense.

ps, LK, what's the story with the fish?

I disagree. I always liked the ES much more; I almost bought one. I reminds me of an XKE hearse.
