Silk is rarely made RTW. This one may be tough.

I'm not sure, and others here know the RTW market far better than I do. I just know that silk is hardly ever made by RTW makers. When it is, it is more likely to be a jacket than a suit. And for suits, they are more likely to be made by small production luxury companies, as a one season lark.

also, it is unlikely to be the sort of silk suit that you actually want to wear.

It's not really that; silk can cost less than a lot of the high end wool that many makers use. It's that it's shiney, wears hot, and has certain "connotations" that scare off most men.

The only silk a well dressed man would wear as a suit is Dupioni.

In sum, "Italian" in the sense of "Gotti" rather than "Agnelli."
