Artisans don't work like that.

SURE! And while we're at it, somebody open a 61 Latour and make ice cubes with it. I just bet it makes lousy ice cubes!

Enter politics. Can we move this thread to CE?

I was going to make it something involving a petri dish and a back hoe, but then I thought that might offend some people's sensibilities.

I have an old RLPL suit that is from Chester Barrie. It is probably about a ozen or so years old (give or take 3 or 4). If Mahon wants to open it up for photos he can, as long as he puts it back the way it was as I still wear it.

I've been watching the production line videos on Kiton's site. There is a tremendous amount of handwork videoed there. I'm not sure how you would get all the work done without spending 20+ hours based on viewing these. There is clearly handwork shown in the hand cutting of fabric, basting of the jacket, collar, shoulder, there is hand sewing of some chest pieces, sleeve attachment, lapel notches and edge stitching, all the way to the hand pressing at the end.

The videos show more clearly the amount of handwork involved end to end than the photos of the jacket deconstruction.

I think the cutting, basting, and hand pressing is what some here may not be figuring in for the hours totals.

I know that I speak for J, the entire SF community and even the FNB site when I say this: We surrender. We will believe anything you say about Kiton. Anything. Just move on. Please.

Let's crack open a Mercedes 600 and see how it compares to a Chevy. Or maybe melt down a '30s Val St.Lambert vase and see how it compares to Mikasa.
