Or whether even to try. I always try and don't take it personally if it's locked.

Are there stock RTW still made by Rayner & Sturges?

Well, it's a sort of test they have to weed out the unsuitable, sort of like a personal introduction to a tailor. Even the French have some standards

If you're going into Budd, be sure to look at their madder ties, they have not only the best selection compared to the other shops, but also the lowest prices.

Edit: I like their site. How refreshing to have all the prices and services on the website up front. Why can't more people just put their prices on display.

next time i'm in london they will be mine

This is, in fact, a welcomed development to see Budd enter the new millenium, albeit a late arrival, with a splash: URL & U.S.A. visits.

Don't know much about the range of fabrics available at Budd, but what I can tell you is this: Their shirts launder beautifully to a soft as butter touch. Blog post: Trust your Budd custom shirts to RAVE FabriCARE http://www.ravefabricare.com/true-qu...fabricare.aspx

Nice people. I went in there ready to buy bespoke but was told I was so standard it would be a waste of money and they sold me some RTW shirts for less than half the price they could have sold me bespoke.

They are not tentish in me but perhaps I am tentinsh myself!

Yes, we have ceased to be groundbreaking with our words. At some point we just ran out of ground to break.
